Comment:
Ancylostoma caninum eggs 64 x 40 microns from the faeces of a dog (note egg is a little longer but otherwise similar to Ancylostoma duodenale) Iodine stain. A caninum adults are found in the intestine of dogs and rarely one worm only has been found in the intestine of humans especially in North Queensland where it has caused eosinophilic enteritis. More commonly, the larvae cause cutaneous larva migrans or creeping eruption in the skin of humans.
